KATE EVESON - ARTIST
Having lived on a sheep farm for many years in the Ribble Valley, I began drawing and painting the animals and wildlife that surrounded me. In the beginning I did many studies of sheep and they are still my favourite subject. In particular Scottish Blackface and Swaledales.
Textiles form the basis of my work which is sewn onto fabric either by hand or by machine and then painted once stretched.
I studied Fine Art at St. Martin's College Lancaster and recently gained an MA in Fine Art at UCLAN. I live with my twins in the Ribble Valley.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me, I will be more than happy to answer them.
